Responsive HTML Presentations with Reveal.js

Responsive HTML Presentations with Reveal.js

Posted by Rainey

Do you need a way to show a presentation on your website that is responsive, easy to update and requires no browser plugins?  If so, Reveal.js is the answer.  Using CSS3 and javascript, Reveal.js delivers a powerful presentation tool that supports keyboard, mouse and swipe navigation.

Some of the core features include:

  • Vertical slides – nest a series of vertical slides inside your horizontal presentation
  • A slide overview feature
  • Swipe and pinch navigation for mobile users
  • Various slide transitions styles
  • Global states to allow background changes on a per slide basis
  • Custom events
  • Fragmented view which slowly reveal portions of a slide as the user advances
  • PDF export support

I have been playing with this locally for a while and I recommend checking this out. The only hiccup is you will need to consider support Opera and IE versions 9 and under since they do not render CSS 3D Transforms.
