Display Multiple WordPress Categories with a URL

Display Multiple WordPress Categories with a URL

Posted by Rainey

WordPress categories are a nice way to group and organize website/blog posts. But, what if you want to display more than one category? Well, this is a super simple way to do this and without code. This can be done by combining categories in the URL. Let’s try it out.

If I want to display all posts on this site which are categorized as “Tools” AND “Resources,” I would use this URL:

http://todayinwebdesign.com/category/tools+resources/

Basically, we are adding the extra category with a + and the category ID and more than one can be added. Now, let’s say I want to display all posts that belong to “Tutorials” AND “Snippets” AND “jQuery”, I could use:

http://todayinwebdesign.com/category/snippets+jquery+tutorials/

So, you probably get the idea now and how powerful this can be. Back to work!
